I can cover Lake Tahoe, Reno, Sparks, Carson Valley etc. l provide college counseling after school hours and on the weekends.
A little bit about me: I hold a Masters in Counseling with a PPS Clear Credential from the state of California. I have worked in general school counseling since 2002, including college preparation, social, emotional, academic and crisis counseling and intervention. Experiences in public, private, foreign and domestic schools has made me culturally aware and adept at working with not only domestic students but international students and third culture kids. I have written hundreds of individualized letters of recommendation for my students and assist students from freshmen year through crafting essays, resumes, applications and final decisions in the senior year. My priority is to help students discover their best fit. This encompasses research on culture of the university or college, programs of study, location, cost, admissions criteria and any other student and family requirements. I expect my students to involve themselves and to take an active part in researching colleges and universities. My knowledge of the college process has helped my students gain admission to the most selective of universities to liberal arts colleges, regional universities as well as enrolling at community college.
