Liz O.

I am a mom of four and fur babies too. I have been an elementary school teacher for many years. I am now starting a second masters degree in school counseling. I have been trained by CASEL in social emotional learning. I am creative and my students have always loved school. I am an advocate for children and families. I am also cpr and first aid trained and I have a passion for meeting each child’s unique needs.

I have a Masters degree in education, and am trained in cognition guided instruction, math talks and have several years of teaching experience locally. I continue to further develop my professional learning to be the best teacher I can. I research best practices and have creative strategies to prepare children.

I have tutored many children and have been on many committees involving multi tiers of support for children, positive behavioral intervention, strategic planning and I am the Director of programs for BRAIN Nevada.

I have always been passionate about teaching children and fostering learning their success socially, emotionally and academically. All children are unique individuals and must have their needs met. I am creative and always plan and create outside of the box with instruction, intervention and enrichment. I believe children should have choice in their learning as well. I hold high expectations, am kind and nurturing.
