I am an experienced elementary educator with over 10 years of classroom teaching experience in kindergarten through third grade. I have also provided targeted intervention support for upper elementary students and have experience delivering short-term instructional support across multiple grade levels. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including students who need foundational skill support as well as those who are working at or above grade level.

In addition to classroom teaching, I spent two years as a school-based instructional coach, where I worked directly with teachers to strengthen reading, writing, and math instruction, design intervention strategies, and use student data to guide instruction. I currently serve as a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist in a large public school district, where I train and support elementary teachers in effective instructional practices with a strong focus on Science of Reading implementation, as well as curriculum support and student achievement strategies.

My expertise includes elementary literacy and math instruction. In literacy, I am trained in structured reading instruction, including phonics, fluency, comprehension, and early writing development. In math, I focus on developing conceptual understanding, problem-solving strategies, and foundational skills aligned to grade-level standards. My tutoring approach is student-centered and diagnostic, beginning with identifying specific learning needs and then providing targeted instruction that builds confidence while closing skill gaps and reinforcing grade-level learning. I focus on clear instruction, supportive feedback, and helping students feel successful as they grow.
