My name is Brendan! I graduated from the University of Nevada with Magna Cum Laude honors in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Education, and a second Bachelor’s in Math. I enjoy learning about the applications and practicalities of math, and I love sharing this passion with others. I spent several months interning as a teacher at a local high school as part of my college coursework, and I have gained valuable experience teaching various classes, including Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus. My name is Brendan! I graduated from the University of Nevada with Magna Cum Laude honors in May 2024 with a Bachelor’s in Education, and a second Bachelor’s in Math. I enjoy learning about the applications and practicalities of math, and I love sharing this passion with others. I spent several months interning as a teacher at a local high school as part of my college coursework, and I have gained valuable experience teaching various classes, including Geometry, Algebra, and AP Calculus. As a result of my students’ outstanding achievements, I have been offered a position as a full-time educator in the fall at the same school!

In high school, I received a perfect 800 on the math section of the SAT (1550 overall score), as well as an overall score of 35 on the ACT. I received 5’s on both the AP Calculus AB and the AP Statistics exams, and I have maintained straight A’s throughout college.

I have also worked as a private tutor for the past year, in which I have worked alongside students in subjects ranging from Pre-Algebra to college-level Calculus. I believe that self-confidence is necessary to reach one’s potential in a challenging content area, and I strive to develop this assurance within each student Through tutoring, I aspire to guide and motivate each towards achieving their academic goals as they further their understanding of key concepts. Very Helpful!

Brendan tutored my son in pre-calc in preparation for an upcoming quiz. My son has struggled with math for years and really wants to do well, meeting with his teacher every week during a free block. Still struggling, we booked a session with Brendan to get some outside help. My son said Brendan explained concepts in a way that he understood and it was more clear for him in comparison to the instruction from his teacher. He came out of the session relieved and less stressed. Thank you!!

Brendan explains math problems to me in great detail and is patient when answering my questions about a topic. I am a high school senior this year and am glad I found this tutor.
