While earning my Ph.D. in Literature at Durham University in the United Kingdom, I mentored undergraduate students. During a year of service in Honduras, I provided English as a Second Language classes for adult learners. Later, while serving as a Senior Lecturer in English at Western New England University, I served as an essay writing coach for international students.
Language learning is a challenge, and my objective is to work with you where you are at in an encouraging spirit. I try to make language learning come alive, so that the process is more than just memorizing grammar, but rather using language as a means of building communication.
