My teaching journey spans multiple roles and settings, giving me a well-rounded perspective on education. As a classroom teacher, I have primarily worked with upper elementary students, focusing on the unique developmental and academic needs. My methods emphasize differentiated instruction, student engagement, and the integration of technology to enhance learning outcomes.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive experience in one-on-one and small-group settings. As a literacy coach and learning strategist, I worked directly with students to build foundational skills and confidence, while also supporting fellow educators in implementing best practices. My role as a facilitator for Professional Development allowed me to mentor aspiring National Board candidates, guiding them through the rigorous certification process and sharing my expertise in instructional design.
Currently, I am part of the curriculum development team with my current district, where I contribute to designing innovative, standards-aligned resources for students and teachers. Whether in a classroom, coaching, or collaborative setting, my approach centers on fostering growth, resilience, and a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities.
