I have been preparing students for the Digital SAT since Sept 2024. I got a student to 800 in March 2025. But I've gotten 2 students to a 36 in the ACT in the last year, and it's a much better (arguably easier) test. If you don't have a compelling reason to choose the SAT, I encourage you to consider the ACT!

I’ve worked 20-30 hrs/wk teaching test prep since 2016. I teach students specific techniques to improve their speed and accuracy on each question type. I identify gaps in their knowledge & fill them in, teach them where to start each Q, and SAT traps & how to avoid them.

In addition to test prep, I often work with students grades 5-9 to improve their reading and writing skills via novel study, often due to COVID-related learning loss. I'm also available to assist with & supplement student's ELA and/or history coursework.

I also have hundreds of hours of experience working with students with ADHD and Autism, and taken seminars on teaching these students. I have helped these learners achieve their academic goals, going from the bottom 10 to the top 10 percent of their class, by understanding the unique way their brains work.

I earned a BA in Theatre from BYU and an MFA in Acting from UNLV in Las Vegas, and I also work as an actor and director. As a result, I have spent years honing my verbal communications skills, which means I am able to communicate in a way students can easily understand. I am an engaging tutor that students look forward to seeing.

Reading and language are truly my first love. When I was in 6th grade, I read a 200 page book every day (what can I say, I was super popular!) My years of obsessive reading & writing have perfectly positioned me to help you improve your skills. Reach out today -- I'd love to help!

Amazing tutor with professional level tutoring sessions. Remarkable knowledge of the SAT and her curriculum is very effective and to the point. She is the sure thing if your children require immediate assistance on improving test scores Highly recommend and will continue sessions with her. With Sarah's help, my 10th grader finally turned a corner in his ELA class! After the Thursday class with Sarah, he immediately turned to me and said it's actually helpful! He gained a new understanding on how to organize the paragraph to meet the teacher's requirements, he can now pick out concrete supporting details to add to the pre-writing. Sarah also showed him how he could use the Internet Archive Library to temporarily check out a PDF of the text, and than search it for key words related to his argument. Sarah took the time to discussed the various options for supporting evidence, and which ones were strongest, and which paragraph they optimally belong in. Thanks to Sarah, he's finally able to pin point where he is having difficulty and getting good help to fix it. I can see that he himself is encouraged by his progress. Tremendous!

Fantastic Experience and Results!
