I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of students of all ages ranging from elementary math to advanced college courses, both privately and in large classrooms. I also believe that all students are different. Different students have different strengths and weaknesses. Different students also have different goals. MY TEACHING BELIEFS:
I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of students of all ages ranging from elementary math to advanced college courses, both privately and in large classrooms. I also believe that all students are different. Different students have different strengths and weaknesses. Different students also have different goals. Some students just need help passing a class ... while other students want to always be a chapter ahead ... and then I have had other students who want me to teach them an entire year’s worth of Trigonometry during the summer before school actually starts. Every student is different and I always create lessons that customized to the student’s needs and goals.

I am a strong believer in teaching the student to become the teacher ... to learn how to take complicated material and break it down themselves. I like to follow the philosophy that is stated so perfectly by Albert Einstein ... If you cannot explain it simply, you do not understand it well enough. To ensure that the student has a full understanding of the material, I always ask the student to teach what I have taught back to me as if I were a 5 year old trying to learn.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:
My love for teaching began at an early age when I learned how to teach myself. Growing up in a small town in a very small state (Rhode Island), my school had limited access to advanced courses, specifically AP Calculus. Unfortunately, my school only offered AP English, which I did not take (English is not where my expertise lies :) haha). As a result, I pushed myself to step out of my comfort zone and with the help of a wonderful math teacher, I was able to learn how to teach myself the material for the AP Calculus. This moment was the turning point for my firm belief in independent study.

I have taken Linear Algebra at UNLV and got 100% in the class. I tutor statistics right now, which I am also currently getting my masters in. Statistics involves Linear Algebra applications such as matrices and vector rules.

I took Logic during my undergraduate program at Indiana University and I have taken Discrete Mathematics at UNLV. Logic is seen in many math courses, such as probability, linear algebra, and statistics. In logic, you use many symbols. So being able to understand them and know how to utilize them is extremely important.

Excellent tutor.

Danielle is an excellent tutor. She helped my daughter with Algebra 2/Trig Honors and knew the material. It was not necessary to get familiarized with the chapter, the lesson started immediately. She was able to teach her easier techniques and methods not in the text book. My daughter left lesson feeling more confident and was very happy with Danielle. She also broke the chapter down and organized it in a way teaching it would be easier. What her teacher taught over a week's time, Danielle was able to give her a better understanding in just 90 mins. I plan to use her services again.

After a 10 year break, I am taking my last two courses to finish my Computer Science degree. There are a lot of cob webs in my brain with some simple math.
