Dear Students and Parents,

I’m a California state-certified science teacher with seven years of full-time classroom experience in the UK, Europe, and Southeast Asia. I hold a BSc and MSc in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London, plus a PGCE and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. I’ve taught Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from middle school through AP and A-Level Biology (the British equivalent of AP), and I’ve led a school science department. I specialize in Biology and Physics, especially for high school students preparing for AP exams and finals.

Since 2024, I’ve been an official A-Level Biology examiner for Pearson/Edexcel. Grading real exams has shown me exactly where good students lose points: usually not from a lack of knowledge, but from a misread question, a vague explanation, or a skipped step. Together we’ll work through real past exam questions, see how answers are scored, and practice writing responses that earn full credit, while building the deeper understanding so the material makes sense rather than being memorized.

I’m also SEN-certified (trained to support students with special educational needs), and I adapt each lesson to how you learn, using diagrams, real-world examples, step-by-step problem solving, and my own interactive resources. Whether you need to catch up on the basics or are aiming for a top score, we’ll set clear goals so you can see your progress each week.

I hold a BSc in Molecular Medicine from Sussex University and an MSc in Molecular Medicine from Imperial College London, giving me in-depth training in biochemistry, molecular biology, and the biochemical basis of disease. I help students master core topics including protein structure and function, enzyme kinetics, metabolic pathways such as glycolysis, the citric acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, and the pentose phosphate pathway, as well as DNA replication, gene expression, and its regulation. With seven years of science teaching experience and a California teaching license in Biological Sciences, I break complex pathways into clear, logical steps and connect them to real-world examples like metabolic disorders and drug action. I’m SEN-certified and tailor each session to the student’s level, whether they need help with foundational concepts or challenging exam-style problems.
