Hello! I am a third-year college student pursuing my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I have experience working with students in both academic and instructional settings, including tutoring math and science to students in 6th grade and above during high school and teaching dance since 2021.
During high school, I tutored students in math and science, helping them better understand challenging concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for assessments. This experience taught me the importance of being patient, explaining concepts in different ways, and adjusting my approach to each student's needs and learning style.
Since 2021, I have also worked as a dance teacher, teaching children in a structured and engaging environment. Through teaching dance, I have developed several years of experience working with children, maintaining their attention, explaining new concepts, and creating a positive learning environment. I have learned how important it is to make students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
As an elementary education student, I have developed a strong understanding of how children learn at different ages and the importance of adapting instruction to each student's individual needs. I am comfortable working with elementary-age students and can provide support in a variety of subjects, including elementary math, reading, writing, and other foundational skills. I am especially confident in math and enjoy breaking challenging problems down into smaller, easier-to-understand steps.
My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and student-centered. I want students to understand not only how to get the correct answer, but also why they got it. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress. I would love the opportunity to help your student strengthen their academic skills while developing greater confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.
