Hello! My name is Indigo and I am a creative writer dedicated to helping others build direct language, stronger essays and stories, and tools to reference. I have been interested in writing for all my life; I served as vice president of my high school's writing club before enrolling in the University of Washington as an English - Creative Writing major. In my undergraduate years, I was awarded the 2021 Harold Taylor Prize and Edith K. Draham Scholarship, for recognition of my poetry and scriptwriting skills. I went on to be a teaching assistant at the University of Washington Robinson Center, guiding students in workshops, group critiques, individual feedback, and editing. Simultaneously, I was an editor for Bricolage Literary and Visual Arts Journal for 3 years. I earned my Bachelor's degree in 2023, and have since seen my former students enter college and graduate school programs using personal statements I gave feedback on.

I have been in teaching for a year, and am only getting started. I thrive with one on one learning, and also have experience teaching classrooms. My approach to teaching is to meet students where they are at, to be compassionate and clear in communication, and to work to individual strengths. My goal is to help anyone, whether writing a personal statement for an application or a novel for fun, be the most compelling writer they can be.
