Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am a UNLV graduate with a Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education, specializing in Mathematics, where I earned a 4.00 GPA. Since 2019, I have been tutoring math at a variety of levels, helping students strengthen both their skills and their confidence. In 2023, I became a licensed middle and high school mathematics teacher through the Nevada Department of Education, and I currently teach Algebra and Geometry while continuing to tutor students ages 12 and up.

As a tutor, my goal is to make mathematics meaningful and approachable. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts by encouraging abstract thinking, logical reasoning, and exploration beyond rote memorization. At the same time, I emphasize procedural fluency as the solid foundation on which deeper skills can grow. This balance allows my students to develop problem-solving abilities, creativity, and critical thinking skills that not only improve performance in math but also benefit them in many areas of life. I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed on your mathematical journey!

⭐ Great Math Tutor -Patient and Encouraging

We’ve had a great experience with this math tutor for my 12-year-old. He is patient, and explains concepts clearly. Highly recommend!

Susan, 3 lessons with Zlatin

Zlatin has been amazing!

We are so thankful for his help. We have needed someone to explain things in ways my children can understand. He has been doing a great job of that. Not all children think the same and Zlatin seems to be able to tap into what they need. Grateful for these lessons and plan to continue to use this instructor for all of our children.
