Hello, and thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I am a UNLV graduate with a Master’s degree in Teaching Secondary Education, specializing in Mathematics, where I earned a 4.00 GPA. Since 2019, I have been tutoring math at a variety of levels, helping students strengthen both their skills and their confidence. In 2023, I became a licensed middle and high school mathematics teacher through the Nevada Department of Education, and I currently teach Algebra and Geometry while continuing to tutor students ages 12 and up.

As a tutor, my goal is to make mathematics meaningful and approachable. I focus on building a strong understanding of concepts by encouraging abstract thinking, logical reasoning, and exploration beyond rote memorization. At the same time, I emphasize procedural fluency as the solid foundation on which deeper skills can grow. This balance allows my students to develop problem-solving abilities, creativity, and critical thinking skills that not only improve performance in math but also benefit them in many areas of life. I look forward to working with you and helping you succeed on your mathematical journey!

ACT Math

ACT Math

My ACT Math tutoring program provides comprehensive support across all major content areas tested on the exam, including algebra, coordinate geometry, plane geometry, trigonometry, functions, number & quantity, and data analysis. I specialize in breaking down complex problems into clear, step-by-step strategies that build both skill and confidence. My approach focuses on identifying each student’s specific weaknesses, teaching targeted techniques, and improving speed and accuracy through efficient problem-solving methods. Over the years, I’ve helped many students significantly raise their ACT Math scores and reach their college admission goals. ACT Math Content Coverage Algebra (≈12–15%) • Linear equations and inequalities • Systems of linear equations • Quadratic and polynomial equations • Exponent rules; exponential growth/decay • Factoring and simplifying expressions • Rational expressions and equations Number & Quantity (≈7–10%) • Integers, fractions, decimals, and rational numbers • Absolute value, exponents, and radicals • Units and dimensional analysis • Complex numbers (real and imaginary operations) Functions (≈12–15%) • Function notation and evaluation • Domain, range, and transformations • Linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions • Graphs and tables of functions • Piecewise functions Geometry (≈20–25%) • Lines, angles, triangles (including special right triangles) • Circles, polygons, and coordinate geometry • Perimeter, area, and volume formulas • Parallel and perpendicular lines • Similarity and congruence • Coordinate geometry: midpoint, slope, distance Trigonometry (≈7–10%) • Sine, cosine, tangent, and reciprocal functions • Special angle values (30°, 45°, 60°) • Right-triangle relationships • Law of Sines and Cosines (occasionally tested) • Period, amplitude, and phase shift basics Statistics & Probability (≈8–12%) • Mean, median, mode, range • Data representation: charts, tables, and plots • Probability and counting principles • Simple and compound probabili
Algebra 1

Algebra 1

As a licensed secondary math teacher, I help students build a strong foundation in Algebra 1 concepts such as linear equations, inequalities, functions, and polynomials. My lessons focus on developing problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and confidence in approaching new types of questions. I use clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and real-life examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. My goal is to help students not only improve grades but also gain lasting confidence in their math abilities.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring Algebra 2, helping students master concepts such as quadratic functions, polynomials, exponential and logarithmic equations, and systems of equations. My teaching focuses on building deep conceptual understanding and strong problem-solving skills through clear explanations and practical examples. I also integrate Algebra 2 topics into SAT and ACT math preparation to strengthen students’ test performance. My goal is to make challenging algebraic concepts accessible and engaging for every learner.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

As a licensed math teacher, I specialize in helping elementary students build a solid understanding of core math concepts and problem-solving skills. My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each child’s learning style and pace. I focus on developing number sense, mathematical reasoning, and fluency to support long-term academic growth. My goal is to help every student gain confidence and enjoy learning math.
