Her training started at the age of 6, and performed professionally with the former Knights of Glory Drum & Bugle Corps as Co-Drum Major & Dance Captain from 16-22 years old in Indiana. Her training started at the age of 6, and performed professionally with the former Knights of Glory Drum & Bugle Corps as Co-Drum Major & Dance Captain from 16-22 years old in Indiana. After relocating to Las Vegas in 2012, Kay began integrating into the Arts Community while teaching Ballroom & Latin professionally, gaining a professional network that eventually landed her in major aired commercials, magazine covers, and print ads.
From 2017- early 2020, Kay was Assistant to Lacey Schwimmer of Dancing with the Stars, before 100% dedicating all of her time to her own business, Nova Star Dance Co. that has now been in business for 6 years. Although she teaches Advanced choreography, Kay does not shy away from teaching beginning students, because she loves showing people that they are capable of much more than they could have ever imagined, if they just dedicate themselves.
Kay gains students trust through tangible results, straight to the point lessons, and an eagerness to answer all questions, and no question is ever 'stupid'. Age groups that Kay teaches are 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-17, and 18+.
