Over 20 years experience working with pre-teens - seniors teaching voice and Bar/Bat/B Mitzvah training. Teaching is exciting to me when I can help a student achieve their goals and find their own voice through their repertoire. I love helping students figure out the tricky technical moments in a piece and then feel excited to perform it or reach their own individual goals.
Many years ago, I felt I had a teacher who was bringing out the best in me, and then came to find out she was sending me down the wrong path vocally. I ended up with a very small vocal range, tongue tension and more. One night I went to a local opera and saw a colleague perform who was in the same studio as m. Her technique had transformed. I asked her who her teacher was, and she told me. I called her the next day and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. She transformed my technique, believed in me and let me explore the music that I wanted to do and helped me achieve it through a healthy technique. I hope to be that positive teacher in a singer's life.
