I have a bachelor's of science in mechanical engineering as well as plenty of experience tutoring all levels of math up to Calculus. I like to take a Socratic approach to my tutoring sessions: I assess what my students know; I guide them through the problem solving process by asking questions and giving them pointers to help them not only recall their own knowledge but also understand how to apply it. If I find that there are any misunderstandings or a lack of knowledge through out the process, I make sure to explain the correct methods to clear that up.
I have tutored in various styles: one on one in person sessions, multiple in person students, one and one text or voice based online sessions, and multiple students at once during online sessions. I have taught plenty of people in the range of college age students to even younger individuals in elementary school, and so I am able to communicate on multiple levels of understanding. Overall, I have had over 4 years of tutoring experience.
