Hi! I’m Zoe. I have been tutoring students in math for the past 3 years. After successfully completing formal training for all 10 Levels of the Barton Reading & Spelling System, I've now been tutoring several students through this research based Orton-Gillingham system for over 2 years.

I am certified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), and I am a native American-English speaker. I can fluently speak, read, and write in Russian, and was taught one-on-one by a native speaker for over 3 years. I have continued to study Russian at college level. I graduated high school with a 4.0 GPA and am currently working towards completing my Bachelor's degree in Economics with a focus on World Languages and Communications. I am passionate about learning, and in my own time I enjoy reading works of great literature and studying other foreign languages including Spanish and ASL.

With over 3 years of tutoring experience, I've had the great opportunity to tutor several students of all ages who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and/or ADHD. My students in the Barton System and math programs have shown measurably improved scores on their standardized tests at their schools, and I've been personally complimented for significant improvements in my students’ grades and confidence in their given subject after being under my instruction.

My tutoring skills include teaching K-8th grade students math and foundational reading skills using an Orton-Gillingham based system for students with dyscalculia and dyslexia. I offer a complimentary trial meeting for a skills assessment and to discuss your goals, so you can get a feel for what the lessons will be like and see if I am a good fit for your child's learning style. I work to make each subject interactive, using visual aids, real-life examples, and activities to convey concepts to K-8th grade students.
