Hello! My name is Christian R and I've been playing, performing, and writing songs since 1994. I have written and recorded at least 9 albums, and I have performed in multiple venues, both in bands, and as a solo artist. My music is on all major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music. I am followed widely in the punk rock community worldwide. I am also a proud husband and father to my 15 year-old son, who I am proud to say is a great student at Coronado High School. When it comes to song-writing, I treat it as it should be treated - as a completely separate discipline. Songwriting is not the same as music lessons. It is about intense listening, thought expression, song structure, chapter creation, voice mastery, segmenting, layering, recording, and of course, FUN!

I am an extremely patient tutor when it comes to young people expressing interest in writing songs.
Music has been an enormous part of my life, and so I want to make sure that kids have access to the same tools and lessons that I was forced to learn on my own throughout the years. I truly want to give back to those who are willing to learn, practice, and continue their own journey. As a bonus, I am fortunate enough to have a recording studio in my house, which means that after a few sessions, we can record the songs you create! (if the parents approve, of course). I am also fully insured for liability at my residence.
