Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I was a Behavior Interventionist for two years at the Tustin Unified School District in Orange County California and for one year with a private company Autism Behavior Solutions in Monrovia California. I would create stimuli and behavioral plans utilizing PECS, and the Discreet Trial Method. I would then implement those plans with students age ranges 5-18 in a classroom and/or at their homes. During home visits parents often scheduled community outings to apply behavioral plans in either a retail store, park, or restaurant. For higher functioning students I was also responsible for tutoring them in various academic subjects and grade levels. I was also a Service Coordinator for Valley Mountain Regional Center in Modesto California for nine months. As a Service Coordinator, I was responsible for coordinating medical services for children with a variety of Developmental Disabilities, which included diagnoses along the Autism Spectrum.

Biology

I took all pre requisites to enter the nursing program including biology, physiology, and microbiology in college. I have a full understanding and demonstrated ability based on my acceptance into a college level nursing program, which required a min 3.5 gpa.

English

I thought English at the high school level For one year and I’m currently tutoring a ninth grade high school student online.

Reading

I was a high school English language arts teacher for one year and have extensive experience tutoring in the subject for nearly 10 years.

World History

I received an A in AP European history in high school and passed the exam to receive college credit for it. I was as a personal fascination with world history and a major part of the world history class is writing,which I have expert experience in.
