I have had ample experience tutoring students of all ages, from kindergarteners to college students. I was employed at a math tutoring center, where I was an instructor for K-10 students up to Algebra II. Additionally, I taught Mandarin Chinese to students in grades K-10. A good portion of my tutoring experience derives from tutoring my peers, as I was a volunteer peer tutor throughout high school and college in a variety of subjects including biology and chemistry. It is worth mentioning that I attended a high school that was very focused on discussion-based learning and I later enrolled in university classes which were primarily lectures, so I am comfortable with effectively tutoring students across all age groups in a manner that best benefits each individual student.
I have always been passionate about helping others to not only learn, but also understand concepts so that they may build upon their knowledge. This creates a solid foundation for students to continue to strive for success in their academic careers.
