My educational background includes a Bachelor’s in Health Management (Cum Laude), AHIMA credentials, and CBCS certification, along with ongoing work toward obtaining my CPB and CIC. I’ve trained Providers, front-office staff, and new coders on documentation, coding, denials, and clean first-pass claims. I’m especially comfortable helping career-changers, adult learners, and students who feel overwhelmed by guidelines, modifiers, and/or exam prep.
As a tutor, I like to have fun in my sessions while maintaining structure. In our sessions, we’ll start with a music vibe, your goals, then break concepts into clear steps, practice together using realistic scenarios, and build repeatable strategies for look-up and validation. I’ll ask you to “think out loud” so I can see where you’re getting stuck and then fill in the gaps with tips, visuals, and real claim examples. I don’t do homework or exams for you, but I will teach you how to approach them with confidence.
In addition to medical coding and billing, I can support you with anatomy and physiology (A&P) foundations that make coding easier, and with project-management (PMP) skills.
