Hi! I’m a registered nurse, nursing professor, and passionate nursing educator who loves helping students build confidence and succeed in nursing school. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Nursing Education (MSN-Ed), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). I’m also a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) and Certified Academic Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE-cl). I’ve been a registered nurse since 2013, with clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, intermediate care, and critical care.
I’ve taught nursing students in classroom, clinical, skills laboratory, and simulation settings, and currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Nursing. My teaching experience includes pathophysiology, pharmacology, health assessment, clinical judgment, dosage calculations, and preparation for nursing examinations and the NCLEX. I understand how overwhelming nursing school can feel, especially when you’re trying to connect everything you’re learning and apply it to exam questions.
My tutoring philosophy is simple: stop memorizing and start understanding. I focus on helping students understand the WHY behind nursing concepts rather than simply memorizing facts. During our sessions, we’ll work through challenging topics, practice applying clinical judgment, break down exam questions, and identify strategies that fit your learning needs. Whether you’re struggling in a course, preparing for an upcoming exam, or looking to strengthen your nursing knowledge, my goal is to help you leave each session feeling more confident, prepared, and capable of succeeding.
