Are you looking for an experienced tutor who can help your child build skills, confidence, and a stronger understanding of what they are learning in school?

I have more than 12 years of classroom teaching experience, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, and 5 years of tutoring experience on Wyzant. I work with elementary and middle school students in math, reading, writing, spelling, and phonics, as well as adults preparing for the Elementary Education Praxis exams.

I have more than 12 years of classroom teaching experience, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, and 5 years of tutoring experience on Wyzant. I work with elementary and middle school students in math, reading, writing, spelling, and phonics, as well as adults preparing for the Elementary Education Praxis exams.

My tutoring sessions are personalized to meet each student's individual needs. I take the time to identify where a student is struggling and break difficult concepts into manageable steps. I also incorporate games, hands-on activities, and interactive practice whenever possible so that students stay engaged while building important skills.

As a former classroom teacher and math and reading intervention specialist, I have experience working with students at a wide range of ability levels. I especially enjoy helping students who are struggling, have gaps in their foundational skills, or simply need concepts explained in a different way. My goal is not just to help students complete an assignment, but to help them understand what they are doing and become more confident, independent learners.

I also tutor future elementary teachers preparing for the Praxis exams. I can provide targeted support in elementary math, reading and language arts, and other Elementary Education Praxis content areas, helping test-takers strengthen both their content knowledge and test-taking confidence.
