I make sure I express my expectations and what needs to be practiced each week so the lesson experience is productive.

I develop an individual plan for each student to best suit his/her needs. Are they more interested in classical, jazz, church or popular music? Do they have an interest in writing, arranging or music theory?
I am very qualified because I have a master degree from the University of Cincinnati and performed in many groups including symphony orchestras, big bands, brass quintets and dixieland ensembles. My primary instruments are; trombone, bass trombone, tuba and piano. As a band instructor I can teach/play all instruments including violin, guitar and percussion.
I make playing and learning fun by exploring many types of music and stretching the imagination.
