I am an award-winning published young adult novelist, attorney, trained artist, pizza fan, Bollywood fanatic, and outgoing person. I have an extensive creative writing and essay writing background backed by numerous publications and awards. I've written for magazines and papers, won numerous short story fiction honors, and taught Legal Research and Writing at a top ten University—but tutoring/mentoring is one of my first loves.

I am especially interested in helping students with their college and graduate school applications and essays, helping law students with all things legal writing, and tutoring all areas of creative writing. I've mentored students from elementary school to college/grad school level and beyond in English, Creative Writing, AP Essay Writing, College Essay Writing, College Entrance Essays, Editing, Publishing, Criminal Justice, Jurisprudence, Philosophy, Law, Legal Research, and Legal Writing! I'm also able and open to working with you as your writing coach as well as proofreading, editing, copy editing, and content editing any of your fiction and non-fiction projects.

I love tutoring/mentoring because I enjoy helping clients attain their goals, hone their skills, and develop new skill sets. My favorite teaching approaches are hands-on exercises, deep discussion, and creative problem-solving. I believe flexibility, compassion, and good communication are three of the most important aspects of a student-tutor relationship. Overall, I prioritize honesty, empathy, and transparency to offer the best possible tutoring experience available. Whether you're looking for direct, by-the-book help, or a more creative approach to learning, I'd love to discuss it with you, brainstorm, and develop a solid, individualized plan. Please get in touch with me so we can talk more about what you're looking for and the best options for your individual tutoring needs.

Thanks, George! Legal writing is hard, but your commitment to getting it all right was admirable! And your memos reflect that. I really appreciate your dedication and also hope we can work together again in the future.

Excellent tutor!

After many years away from academia, I was overwhelmed by the prospect of writing a research paper and personal statement. Jennifer was truly indispensable throughout the entire process. She helped me organize my thoughts, explore my topic from multiple angles, and develop a clear outline that led to a well-written, thoughtful final paper. She is warm, approachable, and incredibly supportive—able to meet you exactly where you are. Her knowledge and insight are invaluable, and she has a remarkable ability to refine your work while preserving your unique voice. -Madison

Perfect Bar Exam Coach

I highly recommend Jennifer as a Bar Exam coach due to her excelling legal and intellectual skills, as well as her patience and encouragement of students. I lead a very busy life, and trying to keep up with Bar studies was challenging. Jennifer helped me stay on track in memorizing outlines and going over different exercises that apply the law. Her legal knowledge helped me understand the reasoning behind the questions and answers. She’s a wonderful teacher.
