I graduated from Stanford University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. I also earned my Master of Engineering degree in Technical Management from Texas A&M. During college, I was a peer academic advisor to 5 incoming Native American freshmen. I also was a summer residential advisor to Stanford School of Engineering’s Summer Engineering Academy. After graduating I also worked with an organization called B.U.I.L.D, which was an afterschool mentoring program for Bay Area high school students. The B.U.I.L.D program’s goal was primarily entrepreneurial allowing the students to learn about financing, managing, and operating a startup.

I have always enjoyed mentoring and tutoring. I have mentored and tutored at practically every stage of my academic career, from junior high school to post college. I enjoy tutoring and giving back to students by helping them better understand what they are learning. I am available for weekend and late afternoon tutoring sessions. I look forward to helping you succeed!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

When I was in high school I tutored fellow classmates in their Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 classes. I excelled in math both in middle school and high school. I attended Stanford University majoring in Civil Engineering which required advanced mathematics courses. Recently I tutored an adult in Algebra 1 and will continue tutoring him in Algebra 2. My strategy has been to have students attempt their homework in order to troubleshoot where they’re struggling. I also incorporate “drills” that help the student with speed work and also to reinforce and complement the lessons in the classroom. I strongly believe that math is not only important in our everyday lives but crucial to success. I had a wonderful tutor growing up and I know that tutoring does help and I hope to continue to help others with strategies I know have worked for me and others. But most importantly, math has to be fun and engaging!
Career Development

Career Development

I have spent years helping both adults and students advance and develop their careers within engineering, science, and STEM fields. With over 20 years of professional experience in engineering and project management, I have served as a mentor and leader, guiding others in building confidence, setting goals, and growing into leadership roles. As the founder of my own firm, I also bring firsthand insight into career transitions and long-term professional development.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I have served on hiring committees for the engineering field. I have helped others who wanted to advance their careers in engineering and STEM fields. I have been a mentor to others who needed practice on their interview speaking skills as well as provide feedback.
Prealgebra

Project Management

Project Management

With over 20 years of experience as a professional engineer and project manager, I have led diverse teams and overseen complex projects from design through completion. My background includes managing scope, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication across engineering and construction projects. In addition, I design and teach training workshops for early-career professionals, helping them understand project management fundamentals and avoid common pitfalls. I enjoy guiding students and professionals in developing practical skills they can use immediately.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I have presented at conferences, facilitated workshops, and spoken on professional panels and podcasts. My background in project management required me to lead meetings and deliver technical information clearly to diverse audiences. In addition, I design and teach training workshops, which has strengthened my ability to coach others in presentation skills, professional presence, and audience engagement. I enjoy helping students prepare presentations, speeches, and professional talks with confidence and polish.
Study Skills

Study Skills

My qualifications include being a peer academic advisor during my undergraduate career at Stanford University and a mentor with an organization called B.U.I.L.D. Recently, I have been aiding an adult returning back to school for his Associates Degree. I have also been a motivational speaker, recruiter and presenter encouraging minorities to enter into the math, sciences and engineering fields. I have been in contact with numerous high school students to advise them on college level expectations. I also work with college level students trying to enter the workforce. I was a Gates Millennium Scholar and 3rd in my high school class. I was also accepted into Stanford University where I pursued an engineering degree. I am a successful professional who wants to help others with their study skills. Everyone can achieve success, all they need are the right tools to get there!

Outstanding tutor.

The sessions for my 8th grade daughter are going great. She's learning what she was not learning from her teacher.
