Welcome! I'm Alexandra Gordon and I have a lifetime of experience educating learners from age 0-99+. I am a licensed special education teacher of all subjects with a master's degree in special education, which gives me the unique educational and experiential background to design unique, personalized learning experiences to aid in the practice and mastery of any subject for any person. I am trained and experienced in the pedagogy of multiple intelligences and I will use both strengths and needs-based approaches through targeted and continual assessment to help develop the best learning plan with a limitless toolbox of strategies and approaches to meet your needs, goals, and abilities with care, compassion, and a foundation of authentic and genuine engagement.
I have over 10 years of experience classroom teaching in (literally) all subjects for children and adults and over 20 years of experience with individual tutoring, including English language learning and supports for individuals with learning disabilities. I know how to support learners in myriad ways and I am highly adaptable in my approaches so that you are having the highest quality learning experience. I am adept at incorporating literacy, reasoning, organizational/executive functioning, and study skills and strategies to any particular content area so that your learning can be applied across subjects and topics and that the practice of learning becomes ongoing for you.
