Hi! My name is Madison and I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, graduating summa cum laude in May 2025. Having entered higher education as a GED recipient, I understand that academic success does not follow a single path and I am passionate about working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles. Throughout my academic training in political science, government, and international affairs, I have tutored students across these divisions in both one-on-one and small group settings, strengthening my own subject expertise and developing effective tutoring strategies. Although I am available to assist in a variety of courses, I am especially strong in International Relations, International Organizations, and International Law.
My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence by connecting new or difficult material with the skills and knowledge students already possess. I work alongside students to identify areas of confusion, break down complex ideas, organize assignments into manageable steps, and develop strategies that support long-term academic growth. In addition to subject-specific support, I help students strengthen academic writing and research skills, including analytical reading, source evaluation, clear organization, and communicating ideas in their own voice.
My goal is not only to help students succeed in a specific assignment or course, but to help them develop skills and learning strategies they can apply throughout their academic careers. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
