I hold a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and a minor in History from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as a Master of Divinity with a focus in Pastoral Ministry from Liberty University’s Rawlings School of Divinity. For the past twelve years, I have taught and mentored students and adults in a variety of settings, including small groups, Sunday school classes, men’s groups, and larger audiences. In each of these contexts, I have consistently helped learners understand complex subjects such as history, government, politics, and theology in clear, engaging, and meaningful ways.
My teaching approach centers on helping students think critically and confidently. Whether we are examining the causes of major historical events, exploring the development of political systems, or tracing how past decisions shape the modern world, I specialize in breaking down big ideas into understandable concepts. I work with students to develop analytical skills, understand cause-and-effect relationships, organize timelines, and engage in thoughtful discussion. I enjoy encouraging curiosity, asking good questions, and helping students connect what they learn to real-world implications.
I am comfortable tutoring middle school, high school, college, and adult learners. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically but also to help them grow as thoughtful, discerning individuals who can reason well and appreciate the relevance of history and government today. I look forward to supporting each student’s unique learning needs and helping them master the subjects they once found challenging.
