For 28 years, my students (including my daughter) have been from elementary school, high school, and college. They become excited about reading and writing, because they gain confidence. I have them explain their ideas and write them down as notes before they began to write papers, in order to encourage clear thinking and writing. These are all skills that will help them in their other classes, as well as in life. I am particularly passionate about helping students express themselves through writing, because it is an essential skill for any career. What could be more important than speaking and writing? My students learn to articulate their ideas to me, and how to organize those ideas into coherent writing.
I have a Master's in English and a Certificate in Teaching Writing and Reading from San Francisco State University's Graduate School.
