I have over 30 years of experience in elementary education. My teaching journey began as a homeschooling parent, educating my own children for 14 years. Later, I returned to college and earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, followed by a master’s degree in Curriculum and Assessment.
For 16 years, I taught grades 1-5 at a Native American school, where I gained valuable experience in culturally responsive teaching. Through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE), I became a certified Orton-Gillingham instructor, having completed both the Comprehensive and Intermediate courses, as well as a 150-hour practicum for the Comprehensive course. I have taught the Orton-Gillingham approach both in classroom settings and one-on-one with students for the past six years.
After retiring from public education, I began tutoring online , where I continue to help students achieve success.
