Hello, I am Vanessa G. and I was born and raised in Southern California. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from the University of California Riverside and a Master's degree in Education from New Mexico State University. I have my teachers license in Early Childhood Education, along with a bilingual certification in the state of New Mexico. I have in total about 6 years of working with children from K-5th grade.
I have had jobs working as an after school program leader, and a summer program leader. I have completed 100 hours as a practicum student for a 3rd grade classroom in the fall semester. I was also a student teacher for the fall semester for a Kindergarten bilingual classroom.
As of right now, I am a substitute teacher for elementary schools and high school as well as in-person 1-1 private tutoring for grades K-5th. I have taught math (fractions, multiplication, adding, subtracting, rounding, division, etc) and ELA (phonics, comprehension, spelling, writing, grammar, etc.) As a substitute teacher I work with various grade levels from PreK to 5th grade and I also sub in high school as well. Fun fact I create worksheets and activities for students as well.
My primary focus is on nurturing the growth and development of children. I strive to create an environment that sparks creativity and imagination in my students. I believe that play and exploration are essential components of early childhood education, and I am constantly seeking new ways to make learning both enjoyable and effective. My main goal is to provide children with the best educational experience possible while encouraging them to have fun and express themselves!
