I am a retired high school calculus teacher having taught AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC, and IB Math AA HL and SL, Analysis and Approaches, for 16 years. I have extensive training in both the AP Calculus and IB Math AA curriculum, with an emphasis on test preparation. I have completed trainings in teaching both AP and IB, learning the content of each subject and how to prepare students for success in the classroom and on the exam. My students have had great success on the AP exam, with a majority earning a 5. I have worked in diverse schools and have years of experience supporting struggling students, helping them find success in calculus and advanced mathematics.

Amazing tutor!

My child was struggling with a few concepts with AP Calculus AB, and has been so happy with Samia's lessons and teaching style. They tell me that Samia is exceptionally good at breaking down and explaining complex subjects in an easy-to-understand manner. As a parent, I also noticed that my child seems far more engaged with Samia than any other tutor - there's an enthusiastic back and forth.
