I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico in 2023, where I developed a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical programming skills. Throughout my academic career, I maintained a focus on areas including data structures, algorithms, discrete mathematics, and software development, subjects I now specialize in as a tutor. During my time at UNM, I also served as a peer tutor through the university's academic support program, working one-on-one with fellow students in introductory and intermediate CS courses such as Python, Java, and C++. That early experience sparked a passion for teaching that I have continued to build on ever since.

Over the past five years, I have tutored students both online and in person, gaining experience across a wide range of learning styles, skill levels, and goals. My students have included beginners exploring programming for the very first time as well as more advanced learners preparing for technical interviews or working through challenging coursework in areas like web development fundamentals and discrete mathematics. Whether the session is conducted virtually or face-to-face, I bring the same level of structure, patience, and personalization to every interaction. I start each new tutoring relationship by understanding where the student currently stands and what they want to achieve, then design a path forward that works specifically for them.

What sets my approach apart is the deliberate progression I use in every session. I introduce new concepts through relatable examples or visuals, walk through them step by step, and then guide students through practice problems before encouraging them to work independently, a method that builds genuine understanding and lasting confidence. I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation, so prospective students and I can align on goals and confirm we are a good fit before committing to regular sessions.
