Greeting! My name is Louis G. I am originally from San Diego, Ca, but I have been residing in Albuquerque, NM for a while. I attended St. John's College, Santa Fe where I received a Master's of Arts in Liberal Arts. My undergraduate work was completed at the University of New Mexico. I majored in Classical Studies and Liberal Arts. I am also a certified secondary teacher in New Mexico. I am considered one of New Mexico's leading experts in Project Based Learning. My full time job is serving as an instructional coach at Health Leadership High School, which means that I train the teachers! I have taught the following subjects: AP English, Honors English, AP World History, Honors World History, New Mexico History, Honors US History, Government, and Economics. I am also proficient in Ancient Greek and Latin. I have successfully tutored my students in ACT and ASVAB. Each student has radically increased their score in English Language Arts on these tests.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy working in my garden, hiking, skiing, fly fishing, and sailing. I am also the head instructor for Outdoor Emergency Care; I train the Sandia Peak Ski Patrol in emergency medicine.
