Bio

I graduated with High Honors from the University of Michigan, where I received a bachelor's degree in Honors Mathematics. I briefly pursued a graduate degree in mathematics at UCLA, and then returned to Michigan to begin a career in mathematics education. I now live in Albuquerque, NM. I love examining the interconnectedness of math across all disciplines, which has given me a depth of understanding in each area of mathematics. I look forward to sharing that depth with my pupils.

As a graduate student at UCLA, I was a Teaching Assistant for the introductory C++ course for undergraduate students. I led a discussion twice a week with ~30 students, answered questions, taught concepts, and graded homework. I have also completed courses on C++ at UMich on Data Structures and Algorithms.

I have taken several years of Calculus, through Multivariate Calculus. I scored a 5 on both the AP Calc BC exam and the AB subscore of that exam.

I took Honors Geometry in 8th grade, and proceeded on to take higher level geometry classes in college. I have previously tutored students in Geometry.

I earned an A in a semester of Linear Algebra in college. I am prepared to explain matrix simplification and standard operations (addition, multiplication, etc). I am familiar with determinates, diagonalization, matrix inverses, and the Gram-Schmidt process. I can explain these topics in geometric and algebraic terms.
