Hi There, Susan here. I am very knowledgeable in tutoring chemistry. I would love to help your student if she/he is struggling in chemistry. Chemistry is mostly math, so finding out the key on how to do this math will help open the door to knowing how to do chemistry.
I have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry from University of Missouri-Columbia. I am a stay-at-home mom, right now, seeking a science teaching position at any school around Albuquerque. I have a Secondary Science Teaching Certificate in order to teach science to seventh grade through twelve grade. Hi There, Susan here. I am very knowledgeable in tutoring chemistry. I have met with Susan a couple times and each time is fantastic! She is very patient and kind and will explain concepts multiple ways and as many times as it takes for you to understand it. Susan is always willing to take the time to go out of her way to understand the concepts before the session to make things run more smoothly. My grade has improved tremendously in my chemistry class and lab. I would strongly recommend her!
Susan helped bring up my daughter's grade with just a few lessons. She is a great teacher and we appreciate all she has done.
She is patient and goes step by step on process. Knowledgeable in math task at hand. Extremely happy with tutoring sessions.
Susan has been extremely helpful in teaching my daughter chemistry. She feels like she's finally beginning to understand the concepts. Susan is patient and kind and my daughter is very comfortable working with her.
Susan has been so kind and patient with my daughter. They have made a great connection and she enjoys her time at tutoring!
Susan works very well with my daughter. She has patience for her. She can explain the material really well. My daughter right away says "Oh that makes sense now". She is very good at getting my daughter to understand the subject matter. She was getting a D in Chemistry and ended up getting a B- last semester. I definitely would hire her again.
She helped our son get a strong handle on his high school chemistry lessons, ending up with a 92% on his latest exam. Thank you, Susan!!
She is very knowledgeable on the subject of college chemistry! She is also very patient and is always willing to help.
I highly recommend Susan for your tutoring needs. She explains things at a different level where it's easy to understand, and makes more sense. I was struggling with my Chemistry until I called Susan, she was very patient with me, and would go over the same material until I understood it. I finished the semester with an A in Chemistry.
Susan is an outstanding tutor. She is a patient, friendly, and kind person. She really cares about my son's progression in Chemistry. My son has really enjoyed and looked forward to every tutoring session with her. I can't say enough about Susan. We hope to have Susan continued service throughout the years ahead. Susan is wonderful and I would rate her for 5 stars and HIGHLY recommend Susan for Chemistry tutoring.
Susan was very knowledgeable about organic chemistry. If she didn’t know the answer to my question, she was always quick to search out the answer. Susan was patient and would spend as many hours as needed for me to understand the concepts. She is extremely dedicated to helping her students and she would text me outside my session just to follow up (to see how I did on my Organic chemistry tests). I loved her willingness to go above and beyond to ensure that I was successful. I would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking for a tutor. I passed my Organic Chemistry Class!
Susan is an excellent teacher and coach. She is also personable and kind. I fully understand the work after our sessions
We had Susan as a chemistry tutor for my daughter. She arrived prepared and ready to work. She was able to connect with my daughter and explain information in a way that she was able to grasp the concepts better than she did in school. Meeting at the Cherry Hills library was also very convenient for us.
Susan has helped my daughter with Chemistry and helped her to understand and like it. She improved on her hw and test grades. She is very knowledgeable and works well with teenagers as well as their parents. I would recommend her in a heart beat. We will probably be using Susan again this coming school year.

Susan has helped provide our daughter with a solid foundation in chemistry. She is adept at explaining complex concepts and has been patient in repeating the fundamentals as often as necessary. Susan has gone beyond the call of duty by working out problems on her own time so she could explain them during the next tutoring session. We have been very happy with tutoring services that she has provided.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have taken the courses: Organic Chemistry I (level 220), Organic Chemistry II (level 221), and Intermediate Organic Chemistry (a graduate level class-416). I received a B overall in all three classes. I tutored a couple of students in Organic Chemistry in college. In Organic Chemistry I, we covered "functional groups, nomenclature, resonance, inductive and steric effects, stereochemistry, carbonyl chemistry", and the overall "nature of organic reactions". The laboratory focused on the "microscale of synthetic techniques, gas chromatography, and infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy"(NMR). The class met three times a week with a laboratory once a week (for a college semester (15 weeks)). In Organic Chemistry II, we covered "addition, substitution, and elimination reactions, molecular rearrangements, aromaticity, carbohydrates and heterocyclic chemistry". In this class, the laboratory again focused on "microscale organic synthesis" which included work in infrared and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy). This class met three times a week with a laboratory once a week (for a college semester (15 weeks)). In Intermediate Organic Chemistry, this graduate class stressed the "synthetic organic chemistry at an intermediate level". This class met three times a week for a semester (15 weeks).
