Hello! I’m an experienced elementary educator with over nine years of teaching experience and a strong passion for helping students become confident, successful, and enthusiastic learners. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish in 2017 and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from American College of Education, graduating with Distinguished Honors in 2021. I began my teaching career in 2017 and hold a Level 3 teaching license with endorsements in TESOL, Bilingual Education, Science, and Language Arts. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with students across a wide range of backgrounds, learning abilities, and academic needs. I taught third grade dual-language for five years, STEM in grades K–5 for two years, and most recently worked as a K–5 interventionist for two years, providing targeted academic support to students who needed additional instruction and individualized attention.
As a tutor, my goal is to make learning feel approachable, engaging, and rewarding while helping each student make meaningful progress. I believe every student learns differently, which is why I differentiate my instruction based on each student's individual learning style, strengths, needs, and abilities. I strive to create a positive, patient, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again. I take the time to get to know each student as an individual and build a strong relationship based on trust and encouragement.
I value communication with parents and welcome feedback, questions, and updates throughout the tutoring process. My goal is for parents to feel confident that their child is receiving thoughtful, individualized support and for students to leave each session feeling more confident than when they started.
