I graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and went on to earn a master’s degree in biomedical sciences, and am currently training at the doctoral level. My background has given me a strong understanding of complex scientific concepts, and more importantly, how to break them down in a way that actually makes sense to students.
I have experience tutoring and mentoring students from middle school through college in both one-on-one and small group settings. I’ve helped students improve their understanding of coursework, prepare for exams, and develop better study strategies. I also have experience mentoring in research settings, where I’ve guided students in building critical thinking, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills that are essential for long-term academic success.
My approach to tutoring is supportive, flexible, and tailored to each student. I focus on simplifying difficult topics, reinforcing learning through active engagement, and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.
