I am a Special Education teacher, behavior specialist, and current Special Education Coordinator/Director with a strong background in language development and early intervention. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology and a master’s degree in Special Education Pedagogy, and I am continuing advanced coursework toward BCBA certification. My experience spans preschool through high school in public schools, early intervention programs, and one-on-one student support. I have specialized in reading intervention, foundational math skills, executive functioning, autism support, dyslexia characteristics, and social-emotional skill building.

In my current leadership role, I oversee IEP development, coach teachers, collaborate with families, and ensure instructional quality for diverse learners. This experience strengthens my ability to identify student needs quickly and design learning plans that are clear, effective, and supportive. I have taught in inclusive classrooms, self-contained programs, virtual environments, and small-group intervention settings. My approach is calm, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I rely on visual supports, structured routines, multisensory learning, and positive reinforcement to help each child feel capable and confident.

My goal as a tutor is to make learning accessible and enjoyable. Whether I am helping a student strengthen reading fluency, master double-digit math, improve organization and attention, or build communication and coping skills, I adjust instruction to meet them exactly where they are. Parents frequently share that their children become more motivated, independent, and confident after working with me, and I pride myself on creating a safe, encouraging space where students can take risks and grow.

My undergraduate background in Speech-Language Pathology gives me a strong foundation in articulation, sound production, oral language, and the phonological skills that support early reading. I use evidence-based, multisensory approaches—including Orton-Gillingham–aligned practices—to make phonics engaging, developmentally appropriate, and highly effective for young readers.
