I have worked in elementary education for seven years. I was a 2nd grade teacher for five years and a 4th grade teacher for two years. While student teaching, I had the opportunity to work with 1st and 3rd grade students as well. However, I love working with all elementary grade levels (K-5)! My personal belief is the best way to connect with students and help foster learning is through their personal interests. When students are working on topics they are invested in, they become engaged in the learning process.
