I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I am also a certified teacher in New Mexico, with extensive experience in the education field since 2012. Throughout my career, I have taught students across various grade levels, including kindergarten, second, fourth, and fifth grades. Currently, I am teaching fourth grade, where I focus on delivering engaging lessons in both reading and math.
I strive to implement all learning styles in my teaching to ensure that each student’s unique needs are met. This approach helps students to connect with the material in ways that suit their learning preferences, allowing them to thrive academically. I take great pride in seeing my students progress and grow in their learning journeys.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have experience as an educational assistant in a special education setting, where I worked closely with children with autism and provided one-on-one support. This experience has given me valuable insights into differentiating instruction for students with diverse learning needs.
While I conduct a lot of whole-group instruction, I also use small-group intervention strategies for students who need additional support in specific content areas. The ability to work closely with students in this way is rewarding, as I can tailor my teaching to address their individual challenges and help them succeed.
