I am an incoming college freshman with a strong academic background in mathematics and advanced coursework, including AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. I earned a 4 on the AP Calculus AB exam and graduated with a 4.6 GPA while consistently taking challenging classes. Throughout high school, I became known among classmates for being someone who could break difficult concepts down into multiple clear ways each individual can understand best.
What makes me different as a tutor is that I understand what it feels like to struggle with confusing material while also knowing how to succeed at a high level. Many students are taught to memorize formulas without truly understanding the “why” behind them. My goal is to make math feel less intimidating by explaining concepts clearly, patiently, and step-by-step. I focus on helping students build confidence and not just improve grades temporarily. Whether a student needs help preparing for quizzes, understanding homework, or getting ahead in class, I adapt my teaching style to fit how they learn best.
Because I recently completed these courses myself, my teaching style is current, relatable, and practical. I know the common mistakes students make, the shortcuts that actually help, and the study strategies that work under real classroom pressure. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities. My priority is helping students leave each session feeling smarter, more prepared, and more confident than when they started!
