Struggling with reading doesn’t mean your child isn’t smart—it means they need the right approach.
I am a special education teacher (Orton Gillingham certified) who specializes in structured literacy and dyslexia intervention, helping students become confident, capable readers through explicit, evidence-based instruction.
I have extensive experience supporting students with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, ADHD, and IEPs. Many of the students I work with struggle with phonics, decoding, spelling, and reading fluency, often despite trying hard. I create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged, understood, and motivated to grow.
I use the Orton-Gillingham approach, a structured, multisensory method aligned with the science of reading. Instruction focuses on phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and reading comprehension, with lessons carefully tailored to each child’s individual needs and pace.
Parents can expect clear communication, thoughtful lesson planning, and consistent progress monitoring. Most importantly, I help students build confidence and develop a positive relationship with reading so their growth continues beyond our sessions.
