Hello, my name is Giuseppe M. I have a solid foundation in mathematics through my bachelor's degree in Aeronautical and Mechanical degree that I received from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a private stem university located in Troy, NY. Therefore, I possess a robust academic background that equips you with a comprehensive understanding of mathematical principles and applications. In the process of pursuing my degree, I realized the right professor that genuinely cares about teaching the next generation is crucial to succeeding academically. The courses with professors who actively engages with me and worked through problems together instead of the ones who solely relied on lectures were the courses I excelled in as I believe this fosters the best way to learn. As a result, I wish to continue this idea of teaching through tutoring others to ensure they can also excel as I believe anyone can do well in any subject material as long as they have a great mentor.
Moreover, I have two years of experience in tutoring, particularly through one-on-one interactions with middle schoolers and was a mentor for lower class college students for one of my academic clubs in college. In high school, I received a 790 on the math portion of the SAT and I also took AP Calc BC which I scored a 5 on. For my mentees, they were all engineering students of different disciplines who I assisted with Calculus I and Calculus II, each through one-on-on tutoring sessions where I guided the mentees through questioning them on what to do step by step and correcting when need be. I aim to make a positive impact on students' academic journeys and help them on their studies to help achieve their goals.
