Alexander Cha is currently pursuing his master’s degree in classical clarinet at the Manhattan School of Music and previously received a Bachelor’s degree in clarinet performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. While at Indiana, Alex maintained status as a Founders Scholar and attended prestigious summer music festival organizations like the Eastern Music Festival and National Music Festival.

While at Indiana, Alex maintained status as a Founders Scholar and attended prestigious summer music festival organizations like the Eastern Music Festival and National Music Festival.
Alex also has extensive experience teaching lessons at the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts and performing with the Conductor’s Orchestra at IU all four years of attendance. In addition, Alex has been an avid private teacher for clarinet for over nine years, cultivating students passionate about music with the skills to achieve their goals.
Some of Alex’s notable performances include grand place winner of the National League of Performing Arts Concerto Competition, second place winner of the International Grande Music Competition, first place winner of the National Artists Competition, and Outstanding Achievement Award for Solo Performance of the Terrill in Tempo Jazz Festival.
Alex is a lifelong supporter of enabling prospective musicians with proper fundamentals of any instrument he teaches. He also enjoys playing sports and watching korean variety shows in his free time.
