I am an Orton Gillingham trained reading specialist. The Orton Gillingham method is a sequential, evidence-based, multisensory approach to teaching struggling students how to read, write, and spell.

I have taught both in a classroom setting and privately. I have approximately 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Every lesson is structured with clear tasks and goals. I work diagnostically and prescriptively so my lesson planning is steered to the child's needs. Ive crafted my practice and all of my material to cover all aspects of literacy and to be as optimally effective as possible. I work incredibly hard to create engaging resources and lessons for my students to ensure success at your child's pace.

I have worked with students in Kindergarten up to 5th grade. If your child is at a low reading level and is struggling to keep up, I am here to help bring them up to their potential!

In my training all aspects of literacy go together. I am passionate about the English language and it's diversity. I work with young students to strengthen their reading, writing, and spelling skills and their vocabularies.

Being that I am Orton Gillingham trained, I specialize in dyslexia. My practice revolves around methods and techniques that strengthen their neural circuits for memory and fluency. Dyslxeics are like superheros in that they have strengths that not many people see. They are overshadowed by their difficulties in reading, writing, and spelling. Multisensory learning leaves no stone unturned and channels every learning pathway to ensure maximum retaintion and success. My belief is, "The magical thing about reading is that every child can." With time and the right instruction that suits your child's way of learning, he/she will succeed.
