Hi, my name is Sydney! I earned a Masters and Bachelors of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering (concentration in Biomechanics and Rehabilitation) both from Stevens Institute of Technology. I have a strong background in mathematics. Hi, my name is Sydney! I earned a Masters and Bachelors of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering (concentration in Biomechanics and Rehabilitation) both from Stevens Institute of Technology. I have a strong background in mathematics. I have taken multiple AP mathematics courses in high school (scoring highly in AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB and BC, AP Physics) and numerous Calculus and related engineering courses at my university. I enjoy helping others, especially student's who are motivated to succeed in their academics. I have experience tutoring at middle school, high school and advanced college levels.

I am a tutor at my university where I tutor other students in a variety of high caliper courses including Calculus 1, Calculus 2, Calculus 3, Differential Equations, Multivariable Calculus, Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Probability, Math, Physics and multiple engineering courses. I work with each student throughout the semester to help them understand the coursework better and perform better on exams and other class assignments.

As a tutor, I help students understand concepts that they are confused with. I breakdown the process of mathematics to simple steps. I believe in using the "KISS" method of teaching - Keep It Simple Silly. I have sat through many classes with math teachers and professors who are not clear, I had to self-teach myself many times making me a better student and teacher.

I tutor any math class from general mathematics to Calculus. I also tutor you for ACT, SAT, IB or Regent exam preparation. I am able to specifically adjust a study plan to meet the needs of each student! I have had multiple students score in the upper percentile and move on to excellent colleges with the scores that they aimed to attain!

I can help go over homework, example problems, or find some practice problems that we can work on together. I am able to breakdown the concept into simpler terms for any student.

Patient, skilled & fun tutor

Sydney tutored me for my Calculus II course in college. She was very patient and engaging, and thanks to her I quickly improved on concepts & topics that I had previously struggled with. I personally have trouble enlisting help from others due to embarrassment, but with Sydney, I felt very comfortable and at ease & used to look forward to seeing her every week. She does a thorough job of de-constructing and explaining difficult topics in way that's easy to understand. Would definitely recommend her to those that really struggle in math or calculus like I did.
