I hold a Doctoral PhD degree in Human Services with emphasizing on job satisfaction and motivation, as well as a master’s degree in Sociology and undergraduate degree in Psychology. My academic background has equipped me with both subject matter expertise and a deep understanding of theoretical theory. In addition, I am a motivational speaker and job developer. I tend to motivate educators and pupils when I speak and to guide them on scholastic achievements. These qualifications allow me to tailor my tutoring approach to meet the diverse needs of learners, whether they are struggling with foundational concepts or seeking enrichment beyond the standard curriculum.
Over the past 21 years, I’ve worked as both a classroom teacher, corporate trainer, and private tutor. In the classroom, I taught college and adult students in public and charter schools, focusing on psychology, thesis writing, grammar, community service, and career development. My tutoring experience spans one-on-one sessions and small group instruction, often conducted in-person and virtually. I’ve worked with students ranging from college first-year students to adulthood, adapting my methods to suit their developmental levels, and learning styles. I emphasize conceptual understanding through inquiry-based learning, using real-world examples and visual aids to make abstract ideas more accessible. I also incorporate formative assessments and reflective questioning to monitor progress and encourage self-development.
My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering curiosity. Whether I’m helping a college student prepare for a dissertation submission or an adult prepare for a career change, I strive to create a supportive environment where mistakes are viewed as learning opportunities. I’ve volunteered in after-school programs and summer bridge initiatives, collaborating with underserved communities to close achievement gaps. These experiences have strengthened my ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
