Enthusiastic math educator with experience helping high school student

I’m an experienced and passionate math educator with over five years of teaching and tutoring experience, including a full year of virtual instruction during the 2020–2021 school year. I hold a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a standard K–12 math teaching certification, which qualifies me to teach and tutor students from elementary through high school in both in-person and online settings.

Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of courses including Algebra 1, Algebra 2 (Honors and General Education), Geometry, and college-level mathematics in independent learning environments. In addition, I’ve tutored college students at NJIT in Precalculus, Calculus I–III, and Differential Equations, helping them master challenging concepts and improve academic performance.

My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, confidence, and connection. I strive to make math approachable and meaningful by blending clear, step-by-step explanations with interactive tools and real-time feedback. I’ve worked extensively with platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom, Savvas Realize, Khan Academy, and Big Ideas Math to create engaging and personalized learning experiences.

I also specialize in test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and NJSLA, helping students strengthen foundational skills, build problem-solving strategies, and gain confidence under timed conditions. My students have consistently shown measurable growth and success in classroom benchmarks and standardized assessments.

As an educator, I’m deeply committed to helping each learner reach their potential. I believe every student can excel in math with the right support, encouragement, and strategies.
