With over 10 years of experience as a substitute teacher with the Irvington Board of Education, I’ve had the privilege of working with students across diverse age groups, primarily focusing on elementary school children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, which not only deepened my understanding of science but also nurtured my passion for teaching young minds how the natural world works. Combining my academic foundation with extensive classroom experience, I specialize in making complex concepts accessible and engaging for younger learners.

Over a decade of teaching students from kindergarten to 5th grade, covering core subjects like reading, writing, math, and science. I’ve worked in both short-term and long-term substitute roles, seamlessly stepping into classrooms to continue structured learning. My individualized approach focuses on patience, encouragement, and progress at the student’s pace.

My tutoring approach is personalized and student-centered. I start by assessing the child’s current understanding, learning style, and goals.
From there, I Create Engaging Lessons: I integrate hands-on activities, real-world examples, and interactive exercises to keep students engaged and motivated.
I create a safe space where students feel comfortable asking questions, knowing that no question is too small.
